In the first three months of 2019 on average 71 companies have been set up.
According to figures from business information company CRIF Vision-Net the professional services sectors has seen the biggest increase.
"The buoyant entrepreneurial spirit in Ireland continues to weather the continued uncertainty across the water," said Christine Cullen, managing director of CRIF Vision-net. Ms Cullen also adding "the best in 13 years" for start-ups.
Last year saw an almost 26pc year-on-year drop in insolvencies in comparison to two start ups a day being set up since January 2019.
