The first half of 2017 saw an average of 1,9000 start ups formed, Showing us an increase of 6% compared to the year before.
45% of these start-ups were based in Dublin. Galway, Kildare and Meath saw increases of 5%, 7% and 21%.
Professional services provided the most popular with 1 in 5 start ups operating within this field.
This was followed by finance which saw an 18% rise, along with social and personal service rising 50% respectively.
The research was carried out by business and credit risk analyst Vision-net.ie dated July 17th, 2017.
